Fight Back on The War on Small Business
A recent article by Anthony Davies and James R. Harrigan highlight some of the challenges facing small business owners in the U.S.
The COVID restrictions, minimum wage increases, and increased IRS audits are a few issues highlighted.
- COVID lockdowns and restrictions has resulted in the permanent closure of over 25% of small businesses.
- The Congressional Budget Office estimates that 1.3 million jobs will be destroyed with a federal minimum wage of $15.00. Additionally, small businesses may need to scale back or close.
- The IRS announced plans to increase small business audits by 50%. With 25% fewer small businesses, those remaining could have additional cost and work to support IRS audits.
