Used car dealerships with business models that were profitable during the pandemic are now looking to adapt to the current economic environment. With customers feeling the pinch at the pump as well as the grocery store, being mindful of costs is key.
Online used car dealerships are pivoting from a growth-at-all-costs strategy to a more cost-focused approach. Business realignment plans include reducing expenses and stocking up on affordable cars and trucks. Considering that top 100 dealers represent only 10% of the market share, these lessons can be insightful for smaller dealerships.
